Nurses with advanced nursing degrees who are not nurse practitioners will be required to take additional coursework related to health assessment, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. Nurses already certified and practicing as Nurse Practitioners will have their transcripts reviewed. The recipients of this certificate are eligible to take the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) examination for Family Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan certification.
