A Minor in Chemistry consists of 23 credit hours of chemistry courses.

CHEM 2131 - Organic Chemistry I (3) *
CHEM 2131L - Organic Chemistry I Laboratory (1) *
CHEM 2132 - Organic Chemistry II (3) *
CHEM 2132L - Organic Chemistry II Laboratory (1) * or
CHEM 2136L - Organic Chemistry Laboratory (1)
CHEM 3111 - Quantitative Analysis (4) *

Elective Courses (3 credit hours)

Students select three additional credit hours at the CHEM 2000-level or above. Credit toward the 23 credit hour total will not be given for either CHEM 4695 or CHEM 4900 . Special topics courses such as CHEM 3090 may be included with prior departmental approval.

Note:

*Students may attempt CHEM 1251 , CHEM 1251L , CHEM 1252 , CHEM 1252L , CHEM 2131 , CHEM 2131L , CHEM 2132 , CHEM 2132L , and CHEM 3111 a total of three times each. Withdrawing from the course after the Add/Drop deadline constitutes an attempt, as does receiving any letter grade.

Grade Requirement

A minimum GPA of 2.0 in the minor is required.
