Degree Requirements
A Major in Political Science for the B.A. degree requires 30 credit hours of political science courses. Major Courses (13 credit hours)
Note:
*Students who receive an evaluation of Qualified (3) or above on the Advanced Placement examination in American Politics will receive credit for POLS 1110 . Students who receive an evaluation of Qualified (3) or above on the Advanced Placement examination in Comparative Politics will receive credit for POLS 1130 . Restricted Elective Courses (17 credit hours)
Political and Legal Philosophy Courses
Select at least one course in the subfield of Political and Legal Philosophy. Senior Courses**

** POLS 2220 and one of the Senior courses listed above fulfill the writing intensive courses (W) required for graduation. *** No more than nine credit hours from POLS 3400 , POLS 3800 , POLS 4110 , and POLS 4163 may be used to fulfill major requirements. Unrestricted Elective Courses
