ITCS 3145 - Parallel and Distributed Computing Parallel and distributed computing is the use of multiple processors or computers to achieve greater performance. All computers today have multiple processor cores. Topics include: classification of parallel systems, programming parallel shared-memory systems, programming distributed-memory systems, patterns for parallel programming, foundation of parallel algorithms, and languages and tools for parallel programming.
