ANTH 5122 - Ethnographic Methods Designed to introduce students to the methodological approaches used in ethnography and to provide a basic mastery of several key methods used in ethnographic research. Includes a discussion of the nature of inquiry in the social sciences; the development and implementation of different kinds of research designs to investigate a range of questions; issues of sampling and informant selection; research ethics; participant observation, interviewing techniques; data management and analysis.
