CSLG 8105 - Introduction to Counselor Education and Supervision Required in the first semester of doctoral study. An orientation for doctoral students about the doctoral program, doctoral culture, the counseling faculty, and current and emerging professional issues in counselor education and supervision. Students become familiar with CACREP standards and how they apply to counselor education. In addition, students have the opportunity to learn about the research trends in the field of counseling. Finally, the course addresses professional development as a scholar.
