Advanced analytical methods used in GIS and spatial data analysis to advance the understanding of spatial patterns and to invoke powerful principles of spatial thinking. Examination of theoretical and conceptual aspects of algorithms used in GIS software to analyze spatial data. Critical assessment of the use, misuse, abuse and limitations of GIS analytical techniques.
