ECGR 3142 - Electromagnetic Devices

Principles of operation and basic design features of electromechanical energy converters. The role of the magnetic field in transformers and electrical machines. Generation of induced voltages. Electromagnetic torque development. Speed control. Circuit models and machine performance.

Prerequisite(s): ECGR 3121  with grade of C or above.
