School of Nursing

The UNC Charlotte School of Nursing prepares nursing professionals to serve as leaders, clinicians, and scholars through innovative educational programs designed to meet the healthcare needs of an evolving and diverse society.  Their vision is to provide the highest quality of nursing education, scholarship and practice with a commitment to community engagement in order to promote health among citizens in the Charlotte region and beyond.  The School of Nursing embraces five core values: integrity, innovation, collegiality, diversity, and scholarship.

The School of Nursing consists of both undergraduate and graduate programs.  The undergraduate program offers the BSN degree, both at the Upper-Division Pre-Licensure level and the RN-to-BSN completion level.  The graduate program offers the MSN degree with various specialty concentrations and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.  Options of traditional classroom education or individual access (online) education are available in the School of Nursing for the RN-to-BSN completion curriculum and some of the MSN specialty concentrations.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
