ARTZ 2141 - Methods and Materials in Sculpture


Introduction to the modeling of the human body, including portraiture, in traditional and contemporary materials.  Students learn how to build an armature, model an original form and make 3D reproductions, working with clay, plaster, plasticine, resins, plastic, silicone, and other casting materials, while exploring the expressive qualities of three-dimensional art making.  Six contact hours.
