BINF 8111 - Bioinformatics Programming I Introduction to computational thinking and problem-solving using Python. This course will teach concepts such as variables, data types, expressions, control structures, functions, file input and /output, arrays, and introduction to data structures. This course is designed to teach programming fundamentals to students without a computational background.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Admission to graduate standing in Bioinformatics or permission of instructor. Pre- or Corequisite(s): BINF 6115 Cross-listed Course(s): BINF 6111 , ITSC 6111
