ITAI 5153 - Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Ethics


A practical introduction to artificial intelligence, emphasizing AI Literacy and the ethical considerations inherent in the development and deployment of AI applications. Students will engage in hands-on (Service /Design/Development) projects using a high-level programming language and accessible open-source AI tools and APIs. They will explore key machine learning concepts, including supervised, reinforcement learning, and generative AI, while also critically analyzing ethical challenges, including explainability and trustworthiness of AI systems.
