ITIS 6415 - Cybersecurity Clinic Provides students with hands-on, experiential learning through direct engagement with a local small business, non-profit, or government organization. Students will work in teams to provide cybersecurity risk assessments under the supervision of the instructor and coaches. Graduate or advanced students may also be asked to develop new policies or to provide technical assistance. This course simulates a real-world consulting environment, emphasizing professionalism, collaborative thinking, and communication skills to address the cybersecurity challenges faced by under-resourced organizations. Students can use this as a capstone course with permission of their program director.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Successful completion of 9 credit hours in the MS in Cybersecurity program, or equivalent work experience, or by permission of the instructor. The course can be repeated with permission. Cross-listed Course(s): ITIS 8415 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to 12 credit hours, with permission of instructor.
