ACCT 5220 - Income Tax An introduction to the Federal income tax system with emphasis on concepts and procedures applicable to all types of entities. This course is designed for students to 1) obtain a basic understanding of federal tax law, including legal, ethical and social issues relating to taxation; 2) examine basic legal and regulatory concepts and procedures of taxation that apply to individual taxpayers and businesses; and 3) learn to perform basic tax compliance and research.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Students must make a C or better in ACCT 3361 or equivalent and must be admitted into the Master of Accountancy Program Prerequisite(s): ACCT 3361 Cross-listed Course(s): ACCT 4220
