ANTH 5625 - Anthropological Approaches to AI Explores the cultural and structural implications of “AI” technology, starting with definitions of what these tools are, are not, and what we are being told they are. Through readings and discussion, students will explore “AI” interventions into health care, government, the creative arts, and education, among other realms. The intent is to acquire a vocabulary for critical engagement with “AI” tools and discourses alike.
