The Financial Engineering certification program is designed to open the door for students seeking to move into careers in quantitative finance. This certificate will introduce students to the highly sophisticated models to identify, measure, and manage risk. All courses taken to complete this certificate are transferable to the MS in Financial Engineering and FinTech program, and may also apply to the MBA or other business programs.

Admission Requirements
In addition to the general requirements for admission to the Graduate School, the following are required for graduate study in Financial Engineering: - A bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from a college or university accredited by an accepted accrediting body
- GPA of at least 2.75 (based on a 4.0 scale) on all previous coursework completed beyond high school (secondary school)
- Coursework in calculus and statistics
- An online application through the Graduate School’s application system
- A statement of purpose
- Unofficial transcripts of all attempted college coursework
- Official and satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), if English is not the applicant’s native language and the applicant has not earned a post-secondary degree from a U.S. institution
