INTL 3136 - Globalization and Resistance A cross-cultural analysis of changing patterns of resistance by indigenous peoples to the political, cultural and economic effects of globalization from the colonial period to the present. Using case studies from the Americas, Africa and Asia, the course examines a variety of indigenous resistance strategies and movements and the socio-political dynamics that have driven them and impacted on their effectiveness.
