PHYS 1203 - Physics of Music Fundamental physics concepts are introduced related to the production and interpretation of sound in musical instruments and the human voice. Specific concepts include forces, kinematics, energy, pressure, simple harmonic motion, fluids, traveling and standing waves, and acoustics. Relationship of physical principles to notes, scales, melody, harmony, rhythm, loudness, pitch, timbre, musical instruments, room acoustics, and recording.
