RELS 4320 - Religion and Language Introduces methods for analyzing language and communication in religion. By looking closely at specific communities’ uses of spoken and written language, as well as their discourses about language, students critically examine the roles that language plays in constituting people’s religious experiences, and how these, in turn, can be said to shape people’s communicative practices. Fulfills the [C] requirement.
