PSYC 3291 - Critical Thinking About Research


Recognizing and evaluating methods used in published psychological research, and understanding how to interpret results of statistical tests used in research.  Communicating using APA Style is a major component of the course.  Emphasis on methodology rather than content. A grade of C or above must be earned within two attempts to continue in the Psychology major. This is a PSYC majors only course and it is mutually exclusive with PSYC 3292 , meaning students cannot take both.

Restriction(s): ​Psychology major; A grade of C or above must be earned within two attempts to continue in the Psychology major; NO co-enrollment with PSYC 3292; Students can NOT take if student already completed or has 2 failed attempts in PSYC 3292
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 1101 ; PSYC 2391 ; and STAT 1220 , STAT 1221 , or STAT 1222  with grades of C or above within two attempts.
