School of Data Science

The School of Data Science at UNC Charlotte stands as the first of its kind in the Carolinas, serving as an interdisciplinary hub that bridges the gap between complex data analysis and real-world application. As a unique collaboration among several colleges, the School provides a multidisciplinary environment where students master the intersection of statistics, computer science, and domain-specific expertise. The curriculum emphasizes ethically grounded data practices and equips students to transform vast amounts of information into actionable insights across diverse sectors such as finance, healthcare, and sports analytics. The School prepares the next generation of data-driven problem solvers to address the most significant technical and societal challenges of the twenty-first century.
