Global Business Foundations Abroad, Minor

The Global Business Foundations Abroad Minor provides students from non-business majors with a structured introduction to core business principles while immersing them in global learning experiences. The minor highlights the interconnectedness of business practices across cultures and develops practical skills for today’s global marketplace. Through foundational coursework and applied cross-cultural experiences abroad, students gain exposure to key business functions, including management, marketing, finance, accounting, and data-informed decision making. This minor is an excellent complement for students pursuing careers that require global awareness, adaptability, and intercultural competence. The courses in this minor are only available as part of this study abroad program.

Admission Requirements


To be accepted into the Global Business Foundations Abroad Minor, students must be pursuing a major outside of business, present a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and be at least a sophomore standing.

Total = 15 Credits


Progression Requirements


To obtain this minor, students must meet the University requirements of a GPA of at least 2.0 overall and in the courses for the minor. Students must earn a minimum grade of C in all required minor courses.

Special Policies or Requirements


Courses completed for this minor are exclusive to the minor and cannot be applied toward degree requirements for Belk College majors.
